These events in life's history constitute great stumbling blocks for anti-teleological perspectives. Anti-teleological science has made little, none, or epicyclistic progress in these areas. A major contribution by intelligent design to understanding these events would constitute a major scientific contribution.

  1. Origin of life
  2. Origin of information --- pre-RNA/pre-DNA development
  3. Origin of biomolecular diversification --- macromolecular machines and protein structures
  4. Origin of cellular diversification --- innovations in cellular structure, development of a nucleus; prokaryote to eukaryote
  5. Origin of bioenergetic diversification --- chlorophyll and mitochondria
  6. Origin of respiratory diversification --- anaerobic and aerobic
  7. Origin of metabolic diversification --- circulatory changes, cold-blooded, warm-blooded
  8. Origin of reproductive diversification --- asexual and sexual
  9. Origin of taxonomic diversification --- Cambrian radiation, Cretaceous radiation
  10. Origin of Homo sapiens --- modern humanity, knowledge, and science
