Talk:Primordial Soup

Move page
Recommend a page on "Primordial Soup" e.g., Summarizing Yockey Ch 8 "Haeckel's Urschlim and the role fo the Central Dogma in the origin of life." Recommend Renaming the current page to something else. --DLH 00:09, 3 July 2006 (CDT)
- I have to say I like our name :). --Arctura 06:32, 3 July 2006 (CDT)
- David, I like the current name too, and I'll tell you why: It attracts more clicks, mainly because it serves as textual eye-candy on the left nav menu for crevid surfers. Also, I can see in our (server) site stats that we get several hits a week from search engines where the search keyphrase is "primo soup." That means that people remember this section of our site, and use it as a guidepost to return to our site via search engines. Because of these positive benefits, I would actually like to institute more fun little names similar to this on the site. This probably means we need to begin establishing disambig pages here at ResearchID.org. I'll take care of this task. -- Joseph C. Campana 08:13, 3 July 2006 (CDT)
- The proposed page could also be called "Urschlim" (but few would find it). How about:
"Primordial Soup Urschlim"? Probably all will need a disambig page--DLH 21:58, 3 July 2006 (CDT)
- DLH, I agree, the article about Origin of Life research into the primordial pool of abiotic ooze should be called Urschleim, since this is the earliest scientific nomenclature for the hypothesis. Feel free to make any disambig pages. -- Joseph "Joey" C. Campana 15:20, 4 July 2006 (CDT)
